The Wolferson is brand new, one-of-a-kind, and luthier-made right here in the USA.
 
The body is wonderfully figured, spalted Pennsylvania maple, and finished in a protective yet sleek hand-rubbed oil. Gorgeous.
 
The sound of the Maple Wolferson ranges from growl to howl, the The FretWorx P90 pups (yes, they are P90's and NOT humbuckers, despite being sized like, and looking like humbuckers) have a dynamic range and projection that's awesome--nice fat sound, but not so fat as to not get along with the other pups in the sandbox!
 
And the combination of the maple body and P90's in this particular instrument yields a sound that's solid body, but comfy with hollow body-oriented parts as well. VERY interesting, this particular one. This Pennsylvania maple seems to be one awesome "tonewood".
 
"Behind the scenes" upgrades have been performed to ensure solid sound: Alpha pots, Kaish switch, vintage cloth wiring and industry-leading PureTone output jack ensure clean sound for years to come.
 
Perhaps most importantly, we've upgraded everything that touches strings: Genuine bone nut, bridge with steel saddles, and locking Guyker tuning machines create the feel of a much higher priced guitar.
 
The neck is Canadian maple and truss rod-equipped. It is finished in our proprietary, 20 step, hand-rubbed oil finish. 
 
In general: The Wolferson plays and sounds as good/better than any American-made you-know-what at a MUCH lower price. It's balance is fantastic, it's sound ranging from vintage to modern.
